Furnace Wanted
I'm looking to buy a couple of furnace's to re-install in my Trilliumn's..I've got 6 Trilliumns and 2 that I bought the P.O. had removed the gravity furnace in them and I'm wanting to put them back..So if anyone has or are thinking about removing theirs I would like to buy it if possible..So far I have not been able to find anything that would fit where the old one was located, so that's why I'm looking for the orginal ones......
THANKS RANDY

Good luck replacing a gravity feed furnace. Haven't made them in decades, the parts are scarce.
I am ripping one out that caught on fire. Its sad, I loved it when it worked safely..alas..no one will work on it, no parts and it's illegal for anyone legit to even touch one.

Mine isn't out yet. The vents are frozen solid. I won't budge.
It is pretty much going to be destroyed getting it out of there.
It is coming out of a Leocraft, and it is vented out the side.

I'm really looking for one out of Trillium Trailers.... I think they are the only ones that would properly fit back in the orginal hole....

I just talked to Joe Thoen at Outback / Trillium. While he doesn't have any now, he is expecting two in a week or so. He is not sure what the condition is. Maybe give him a call. (403) two seven two - 3929.

I could not agree more! They would not be too expensive, since there is no motor, the gas valve would likely be cheaper in volume. The heater in my trailer is just pressed steel and sheet metal with a gas valve.
They are not as efficient, but silence is golden. A half way solution would be nice. Perhaps an air circulation fan for when it get real cold out.

I have spent all winter looking for a
GRAVITY FURNACE by Hydro Flame
they were built in the 1960-70's and were QUIET without a fan and used no electricity.
They also exhausted to the outside and burned outside air. Also, they were NOT Catalytic. Most of the ones I found were in need of a new Pilot Light system............
I am now in the process of engineering a new Pilot Light conversion....stay tuned.
(Sure wish I could figure out how to add a photograph.)

I took a stroll with my wife through our local wreckers. In one of the four camper vans there, I found the exact same fridge that is in my trailer, but I also saw at least two Hydro Flame furnaces. Perfect for Campfrugal.
