It wasn't clear to me whether you need parts, or an entire crank unit. Regardless, if you don't locate identical ones, consider using a set from a residential home window. They appear very similar, and people do replace them. I bet someplace on-line sells them. It seems to me the length of the arm or bar that extends outside to push/pull the window would matter most. Good luck.

Another source might be a store that sells replacement parts for mobile homes. We had one for a few years in the early 70's and it had jalousie windows. The crank mechanisms and gear boxes were always wearing out. I found a store that sold all that hardware. Should be easier now with the search engines available. Good luck!

Ilona, I'm not sure what the problem is concerning your location? Do you mean suppliers won't ship to Germany? Hehr's name is Hehr International. Have you contacted them? If not; that is where I would start.

index

Are there censorship issues preventing an internet search? I have ordered and sent products from several Euro countries and had no problem with shipping. If you've exhausted all sources for the windows, you might have to have some new ones custom made.

Curious what initials "NRW" stand for in your profile?

Tom

Yes HEHR International was the first one I contacted, then vintage trailer supply now here. Most suppliers do not send out of the country.

NRW stands for Nordrhein Westfahlen it's like a district.

Oh and when I do a search I usually get German websites that have nothing to do with my search....sad but true that's why I tried my luck here!

If you will ship me a Reimo Weekender galley unit for my van, I'll send you as many window cranks as you need.
Westfahlen as in VW Westfalia? Actually, you might check Reimo's website for the window cranks.

Google seems to be language aware. I found it beneficial to type things in different languages (in this case English, Czech or German) to get the desired result.
