older but clean porta-potti - free, pickup only

I am not going to be using the porta-potti that came with my Burro. I doubt I could get much selling it on craigslist so I decided to offer it here for free. I cleaned it up thoroughly when I brought the Burro home, and tested it with some water. It works just fine.

Here's the catch - my life is busy enough that I am not really interested in packaging this thing to ship, especially as shipping would probably cost more than it's really worth. But if anybody here is passing through eastern PA I'd be glad to make a handoff to you. I'd like to try giving it a new home before sending it to the landfill.

Jen, if you don't get any takers before you send it to a landfill check with any "senior services" in your area. It's possible they'd take it for a senior to use next to a bed. Or, post on Recycle.org in Pennsylvania. It's a website dedicated to giving away rather than sending to a landfill. One persons trash is anothers treasure.

Thanks Donna! I was figuring I'd do a freecycle curb alert, but the senior services thing never occurred to me. I'll check that out!

After having purchased a New Porta Potti this past summer for my trailer I was shocked at the prices! Around $100 for the smallest Thetford. I'm sure somebody would get good use out of it. You could always bring it to a Rally.

JS Lahm, I'm sorry I missed your post! I'm in Philadelphia, but am also frequently in the Pittsburgh area.

Jen,

what would shipping be on this to 48060, MI?

I'd take it for a reasonable price???

please let me know,

EDIT: Sorry I missed the part about you not being able to ship, sorry. if you change your mind. I could sure use it if it was reasonable to ship it.

Cool My advice

For what it is worth, I would hang on to it for a little while. One never knows how you will use your rig. There are a few things we would change if we had our druthers, that we didn't anticipate when purchasing. However, if you are seasoned campers, ignore this post.
