Missing Cover

Did you retrace your route???? I lost a cover on an FGRV I was driving from San Diego to Riverside and drove back on the same route the next day and there it was, along side the road with only a few paint scratches.

Some covers can be very difficult to replace, is there any chance you or the seller has a "Before Picture" showing the cover.

FWIW: My Grandmother is from PEI

Missing cover

Drive was 6 hours one way....would end up all the way back where I bought it...didn't notice until home...and there had been two wrong turns and two stops in towns, gas stations. So now I'm searching to replace. I will take pics and measure!

I did loose the roof hatch cover off my Scamp on the way home (needed replacing anyway) and almost lost the water heater cover. This should be a required admonishment from trailer sellers to new buyers, "make sure everything is tied down before you drive off". Yes I know it is also common sense, but new owners don't always think of stuff in the excitment to get home with their new prize.

Bummer about the cover. But any pics you can find and post of "Before" loosing it will be of more help in finding a replacement.

I agree with Bob, retrace your route.
I did find my original retracing my route (look in the first few miles of highway). Mine had been driven over a few times and was not salvageable.
Chances are it is for the RM211 fridge which had a cover that is hard to find, there is no current replacement that matches that size.
If so the cover may have VT-24-1 stamped on it. I found a replacement on a tent trailer.

I have a 1980 Trillium Jubilee. I will take a photo of the Fridge Vent Cover, get the size and see if there is any ID marks on it.

It might take a day or two before I can post.

Here's a view of the Cover in place and an inside and outside view of the latch.

The O/S size of the frame of this cover ( the part that fits into the opening ) is 18.25" W x 8.75" H.

Hope this helps ~ Peter

There are no identifying numbers or marks on the vent cover.

I suggest stopping by at a local HVAC or sheet metal shop that fabricates duct work and show them the pics and dimensions. Most could knock out a replacement cover on a coffee break and, if they don't have a punch for the louvers, call around to the hot rod/custom shops. That one is so simple that getting a replacement made shouldn't be that difficult.
