Trillium trailers [Outback} has quoted me less that $200.00 CDN for a different but workable unit for the Bargman L300. That KJ price is really extreme.

The L400 is a very different shape than the L300. Just because you can find a different workable unit for the L300, means nothing about doing the same for an L400. I know, I've been looking. This is why the L400's that you can find are so expensive; there's no simple replacement for a broken L400.

My L400 is broken - it latches, but won't lock. I'm not going to pay $375, though. That's crazy. I've decided to just use my broken L400 as a latch and try to add a separate lock in some way that doesn't seem too goofy.
