Scamp Jalousie Window

Looking for the side jalousie window for a Scamp .. The previous owner tore the original to pieces to install a A/C unit.. No way it can be fixed...
Please let me know where I can find one.....

Hello,

Did you try contacting the Scamp factory in Minnesota?

Hi Randy,
What year is your Scamp? Could be suppliers changed with different years.

Did the frame itself get mangled or just the moving parts? If the frame is intact, did you check with Vintage Trailer Shop - Vintage Trailer Shop There is a chance they may be able to help you piece something together.

I sure hope you can find something, although I am trying to figure out some way to add air conditioning without destroying a window as well.

I haven't contacted Scamp.. Since it's been over 30 years since they installed those type windows I wouldn't think they would still have any, but then again I maybe wrong so I will try them but I'm not holding my breath...

Yea, I thought about that but the previous owner took out all the moving parts then beat the sides flat so the A/C unit would fit.. So "NO" there is no way this thing can be repaired must be replaced...

Called Scamp..."NO DICE" just what I figured they said those type windows haven't been used in over 30 years, their plant burned down in 2006 to the ground any old parts were lost to the fire....

Now hoping against hope to find a replacement... Everyone please keep a eye out please.. Never know when one will get wrecked or a old Scotty or something might have one....

That's just not a bit right. I was hopeful that maybe one might be cobbled together if the frame was intact.

As soon as I remove both windows and replace them one "WILL" show up it's the story of my life...

I assume you're looking for the rectangular windows. No idea whether they would work, but I remember a thread on the subject that mentioned "shed windows," and I think it linked this site.

Or maybe another maker if this one doesn't do it..

Yes I checked those out... they will not work either. They don't seal properly, driving down a dirt road would fill the entire camper with dust and dirt. Just not the right fit for what I need.. But thanks

Scamp window frame (CO)

My window met a similar fate...I was lucky enough to find a replacement jalousie, but the rest of the parts are on that vintage trailer website to put this back together.
