Bargman L-400

Hi Doug,

I am in search of a Bargeman L-400 lockset. I would be immensely grateful if you knew where I could buy one, and e-mailed or phoned me with details. I am close by in Vancouver B.C.

Regards,

Norman

I picked up a spare L-400 Bargman recently, the cylinder was replaced for $50, new keys and locksmith work $25 and basic unit $45 .......works well. If anyone in need will part with for $125 already have a spare as back up so can let someone else benefit from the find.

Yeah, and you look like the seller!

Seller is from Genoa, Illinois, and so are you.

Hi BIGFOOT17, and welcome to FGRV.

Are you the eBay seller of this lock?

There's nothing wrong with that, although pretending to just "mention" it on the thread without disclosing that you were the seller would be pretty tacky. Not that I'm saying you would do that - but it might be nice to clarify if there is no connection.

Sorry for that. I am the seller.I did not want to come off as begging for bids,I was doing a search for locks and came to this site.Thought people would be interested in my new lock. Next time I will be clearer, without going into tacky.

Thank you for responding

In matters of selling, I think it's always best to err on the side of "too" clear. I'm glad you came back to clarify matters.

In future, if you would like to sell something here, I would recommend posting a new thread in the "For sale" section vs. adding on to a very old one, and just tell your story as it is. Even nicer would be to offer it to sale to the members here before putting it on eBay.

Again, thanks for the reply; it's appreciated.

Yes, as Raya says thank you for responding. We're a pretty friendly bunch here, honest. But have had problems in the past with folks who only join to hawk stuff. This is a community of nice, like minded people. We look out for one another here and rally against hackers, spammers and jerks.

So I apologize if I sounded terse.

Hi Bill and welcome to the forum. There are folks selling the repair kits on eBay as well as used and NOS latches. Very pricey. Also this fellow posted here not too long ago. Good hunting, Raz

Awful long time since your post, but I thought I would try anyway. Do you still have parts?

I have a couple of Bargmans that are used, but in good condition, with keys. Who is looking?
