Going to keep ours for when we take grand kids. I think they would be rather easy to fabricate , I would go to a place that sews canvas to sew two pockets for the square tubing and the reinforcement webbing. I am willing to take measurements and sketch full size drawings of the attachment hardware. My hammock material seems to be a poly olefin not canvas but a heavy canvas works for cots so it should work for this. Rest is square steel tubing, threaded metal leveling legs ,notched steel attachment hardware that fits in the keyholes ,eye bolts ,nuts and keeper rings all except the attachment hardware easily found at any good hardware store. Biggest issue is riveting the attachment hardware to the the reinforcement webbing.

Thank you! I'll let you know if I need the info. I haven't purchased the trailer yet, but when I get a VT (whether it's the one I'm working on possibly buying now or another down the road), I for sure want a top bunk for kids. I have an old canvas hammock out of a stick trailer my father in law has.. I wonder if it could be adapted to fit the VT? My main concern would be the weight of the poles + a child damaging the fiberglass

When you get one let me know and I will add you to the list, I think we are up to about 12 known to this group.

Yes but you do realize the VT hammock is an entirely different critter than the CT bunk. I am not sure it could be retrofitted into a CT due to the inner shell differences of the VT which allows for carrying the additional weight of the AC and the hammock and the difficulty of adding the reinforced attachment points. But if you are still game I will post them
