Uhaul bunk

Have a front bunk out of a ct13 and I am seeing if there is any interest. It would need to be recovered as it is original. I would give it a 5 out of 10. It would come with the poles also. They have been removed by previous owner. I don't know what they are worth but I know it will be a little pricey to ship. Pm me with any offers.

Did you have any interest in your posting through PM or is it still available?

Most likely the CT bunk can be modified to work for the VT, but the two styles of bunks are completely different. The VT bunkbed is canvas that is stretched between 2 bars and hangs from brackets in the wall, kind of like a hammock.

Cindy,

Thank you for the clarification. I did not know there was a difference. I will let Ron and Deb know. They are on the other site but I haven't seen them here. Sometimes I just do not know what I do not know.

Thanks again Cindy,

Perk

Thanks so much for the information on the bunk. We were looking for one for our vt but have changed our minds and have decided to try something different. We are looking for the ice box though

I would love to get those poles. I have a bunk but I will take it if it only comes as a unit. PM Sent

Deb,

I wonder if you could fabricate something similar that would use the brackets built into your VT walls. I would take a pic of ours, but it is now bundled up for winter. We discovered that the bunkbed makes a nice shelf for storage when hung up. Our FL trip was the first time we used ours. The hubby gave me the big bed, because of my elbow surgery and set up the front bunks to sleep in and store things. The only down side of the upper bunk is that it does not allow the front seats to be used as seats. That would not be an issue for someone who did not use the front dinette as a dinette though like we do. We never take down our bed in back (We don't have a VT table to use, and it is too much effort. There are just two of us most times, so we usually just eat in our screenhouse.)

Come spring, if you are interested, I can take a pic of our bunk if you are interested.

Thanks Cindy - we plan on using our front dining area also so at the moment we've decided not to pursue the bunk. The two ugly brackets can be covered with two LED lights. I'll post our pictures as soon as we progress and yes, I'm always interested in pictures. Thank YOU

A couple of picts. to show how they are made did not include picts of the attachment points in trailer but they resemble keyholes.

Thanks, Mike.

FYI - this is a VT bunk, NOT a CT bunkbed.

I wish we could figure out a mod for using ours for storage. It was sure nice for that in FL.

Send a message via Yahoo to Kevin A
One of us could just stay home and then the lack of front seating would be no problem!

Does anyone have a VT bunk/hammock they're willing to part with? (Long shot.. I know)

If not, has anyone ever made their own?
