They have a very small window similar in size to a little rectangular porthole on a boat. If you look at the photos of older Bolers you will see them.

I've heard it called an "eyebrow" window. "Jailhouse" window is a new one to me. It's used over the stove and on the door of some Bolers and early Scamps.

There ought to be some floating around out there. May take some patience and persistence to locate.

Are you missing one or is the one you have broken? I believe you can still get parts for a rebuild.

I'm not sure "jalousie" is the right term either. Jalousies have multiple glass vanes, like the ones at the sides of the dinette. That's what you'll get if you start asking or searching for "Boler jalousie windows."

I've always heard it called the "eyebrow" window, but I doubt that's what its maker called it. Anybody know?

Looks more like a mail slot than an eyebrow to me!

Hope you find one, whatever it is!

Thanks for the info and I agree it does look a little like a mail slot but its a Boler and mail slots are allowed.

A good substitute is a small operable port light for a boat. You can find them used on Ebay or if you live near the waterfront there might be a used parts marine store nearby. Depending on the degree of slope you might even opt for a self draining port light.
