As you know we have a long standing policy forbidding commercial posts and sales here at FGRV. The Forum has been and will continue to be intended primarily as an information exchange - members helping members.

Over the years we have had many requests to post commercial content and we have some long standing members who have RV related commercial endeavors. To date we have simply said no to these requests but have long beleived that some of these requests were from these who offered products and services of interest to the community. We also have a few members who are quietly selling decals and other specialty products; mostly as a hobby but it is selling nevertheless. To address these issues we have opened a new forums section for Commercial Products, Services and Listings.

The new Commercial Section is at the bottom of the page in the Classifieds section and offered at no cost and on a trial basis. Posts in that section are only for products and services of interest to our community and only those members who have requested and / or received a commercial member badge can start new threads in that area. We will issue these badges at our discretion. And there are restrictions....

Commercial members can quote prices in that section of the forum but not in any another section of the forum. Commercial Members are prohibited from posting product comparisons in any section of the forum. Commercial members may not solicit members in any way except by posting in the new commercial posts section. This means no PM's, no "call me" posts, etc. If asked for information, Commercial member may respond but again no prices may be posted except in the commercial posts section. Finally a commercial member may have a link in their signature to their website. A commercial member who fails to comply with these restrictions will lose their commercial status.

We have many members who do restorations professionally or semi professionally and who contribute enormous information to the community and we hope that this new account designation will be a good help to all members; by both recognizing that a member may have a commercial interest in posting and that they may have unusual depth of experience and knowledge.

If you have questions about this new user designation please review t=our site rules or message a member of the site team.

Janet, this looks like it could potentially be beneficial to the fiberglass community. I would especially like to see who does repair work in the event I ever need help.

But I really appreciate your keeping the commercial content out of the rest of the forums.

The Commercial Post forum has no entries and the word "Never" in the Last Post space. Seems odd. Raz

This is still a work in progress. We have identified several commercial members but this is so new that they haven't posted there yet. That "never" is just a place holder saying that forum has never been posted to. It has to say *something* because the software cannot recognize blank space.

"Never been posted" as opposed to "never going to happen". Thanks for taking the time to explain. Take care, Raz

Maybe the person selling the cool Scamp hats could post in the commercial section? Also the owner of "The Egg Plant" too.
