Leave page popup ?

Why am I getting this pop up on this site and not others?

Sometimes it happens just moving between forums and almost always when I move to a new site.

I see a message like that only when I try to close an ad page that I accidentally clicked on.

'Course, I don't use IE.

It is a Java Script error. I suspect it has something to do with the ads still loading, but it could be something else that has changes, either with the latest release of java script or the site. I get it at the Escape site as well...

I've been getting this annoying box for a week now too just going from one post to another about 50% of the time. No changes done to my computer settings.

I've had a similar problem just recently, but I thought it was related to just having downloaded Chrome to the iPad.

What I see (and this is in Chrome but not in Dolphin, for instance) is a box questioning: Do I want to open a new tab? Do I want to open a new incognito tab? or Do I want to copy the link?

I'm just clicking on a link because I want to go there and I don't need to make those choices.

Leave web page

Elipea, sounds like your issue is different. Most browsers have a setting for how you want to open links. Set your preference and it won't ask any more. It should be in the settings somewhere.

Regarding the "do you want to leave this page" message, it seems to be a Windows issue. It's not happening on my Mac (currently running an older version of OS X using either Safari or Chrome).

Jon, i've been in Settings and don't find anything about opening links. I use Chrome on my PC, and don't have the issue. Maybe it's related to the version for the iPad...

I think it's the software for the forum. I'm using Windows 10 on both of the forums, the only difference is the "skin." No problems here, but constantly on the EscapeForum.

Yeah but I'm not having the problem on either forum. Yet.

Sorry... Didn't mean to imply it is an issue with Windows or IE software, only that the issue seems to manifest in a Windows-based operating system.

It does happen on my MacBookPro running 10.10.5 using Safari. Shows up as a Java Script error...

iMac running OS 10.8.5, using Safari: No such messages, except from junk ads running videos that try to keep you from leaving.

Send a message via Yahoo to LaFille1
I was about to share the same, I own a MacBook Pro, using OS X EL Capitan version, I have not encountered any problems whatsoever. That's why I switched...didn't have any patience left after waiting for downloads for ages, enough with Windows! I am very happy with my MacBook Pro, and glad I switched.

Likewise on Windows 8.1 with IE11.

Windows 7 Enterprise here at work, Windows 10 at home, both using the "old school" dark blue skin (FGRV2.0). Both do it, although not today...so far.

Wait a minute. Those are the OS' I use. That wouldn't have anything to do with it. My browser is IE11 here and at home.
