Shill forum rules here

Can anyone point me to the forum rules on shilling. I could not find any in the community rules or TOS section. Maybe it is called something else and i missed it. One Shill example is Here but I could not find how this forum defines it or the rules for it. Thanks.

Hi, Ken

Hmmm
Don't know what you're looking for exactly, but there's some language about commercial solicitation on the
"Social Knowledge" (our Parent Site) rules page:

"Member Conduct
You hereby agree to refrain from engaging in any inappropriate conduct when using the Websites. Inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated and may result in the termination of member privileges. Inappropriate conduct is any conduct deemed by the Company to be harmful to the online community, including not limited to the following:
*posting any content deemed by us to be obscene, sexually explicit, vulgar, threatening, harassing, or abusive;
*posting content containing nudity or violence;
*soliciting personal information from anyone under 18 years of age;
*providing a hyperlink to any website containing nudity or violence;
*soliciting or promoting any criminal activity;
*posting content which promotes hatred of any race, ethnicity, sex, gender, or religion;
*transmitting unsolicited email to the Company or any member;
*impersonating any person or entity;
*posting advertisements or any other form of commercial solicitation without express authorization from the Company;
*infringing the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, patent, privacy, publicity or other personal or proprietary rights;
*posting any defamatory or otherwise false information; and
*posting or transmitting computer viruses or any other malicious software."

Is that the kind of thing you mean?

Francesca

Well, as you can see, the wiki definition is so big and broad I wanted to know what this forum considered shilling and what the rules were. I guess the *impersonating any person or entity which could then lead into *posting advertisements... is what I understood in my silly mind to be one form of shilling. Thanks for the help. I searched the word shill but found nothing. It turned out to be a bit more of a complex question than I originally thought.

EDIT: I see posting false information, is also included there.

Yes...
I see what you mean.
........
I don't see "being a liar, liar, pants on fire" defined as forbidden...
Perhaps the word "bamboozle(r)", or even "hornswoggle(r)" would be nearer the meaning you're looking for.
