We had a nice time with Alf and Mary Anne.
Glad that they were able to come and meet us.
A&M prepared a very nice meal and as dessert we emptied a full bottle of Icewine (200 ml)
And the 'Our Escape Hatch' is a great 5th Wheel

Rita and Lex are just leaving us for their way back to USA.
They are wonderful people and it has been a great pleasure to meet them.
I wish them a nice route for the rest of their way back.

I've just caught up on looking at the web log - It was especially nice to see the pics of Alf & Mary Anne, and Raymond & Monique. (And thank you, Raymond, for helping with their trip itinerary!)

Lex, your pictures of Quebec and Montreal make me hope for my own journey up that way some day!!

We already miss you all

We like to get a map of the USA + the States we travelled as an adhesive on the trailer.
Somebody knows where to buy?
Thanks.

Here's a more expensive, but fancier one: State Sticker Map - Camping World

or this one: USA States Sticker Map - eBay

Lex and Rita,

We miss you too. I log on every day looking to see where you have been and where you are.

I was just sitting here thinking that you've only got about a week left before you have to have the trailer to the dock. And then just about 2 weeks until you hop on that QE2 headed for home.

Keep posting you trips for us now that you have us hooked.

Alrighty, you betcha, by golly, holy cow, I can't remember all the wonderful new phases you've learned from us. I surely enjoyed your getting a kick out of our slang.

I'll look forward to the next couple of weeks to see just what else you've visited while here.

Have a wonderful journey home.

Lex And Rita, Although we didn't get to meet you we followed your trip log very often and I must say it is very very well done and very interesting to read. We spend a lot of time in the Amish country and in Intercourse itself and I could tell by your description that the campground you wanted to stay in was probably Beacon Hill. The reason they don't allow children is not that they don't like kids but rather they would have to put a children's playground in and they simply don't have the space and the liability for accidents is very expensive.
You mentioned the Amish behavior towards outsiders and yet the business side of it. If the truth be known many of the business' are owned by none Amish just capitalizing on their simple lifestyle but most are still very friendly. We stay at Beacon Hill often but, make reservations a day or so ahead and just about every evening local Amish will show up to sell hot fried chicken and baked products to the campers, its really quite unique. Again we thank you for your visit and the travel log, it was quite interesting to hear the views of a visiter that does so well with our language, Best Regards and safe travels for the rest of your journey, Bill and Karen
