What beautiful country! It looks like something out of a picture book to me.

Thanks so much for sharing the photos and a little slice of your life there!

Wonderful!

Do you ever pull your trailer out to the Orchard and camp there? If I had that scene, I may never leave home!

and ditto. Very neat tractor. Must have been a very satisfying day laboring outside in the great outdoors. Thanks so very much for sharing. A labor of love, I am sure.

Your Photos reminds me of the pecan harvest on the farms in our area. Some use the ground tarps to collect the nuts, but the large producers use all machines. Some to shake the trees to get the nuts to fall, others to rake or sweep the nuts into rows and then another to pick up and sort out the trash.

Thanks for posting. My family still farms - cotton, peanuts, corn, soybeans and tobacco and you're right, it is hard work! I particularly enjoyed the picture of your tractor as its a lot different from anything we have around here.

Thanks for sharing. We do not have a farm, only a ranch but I love to see other country sides.

Thanks, Carmen

We have an Asian persimmon tree that drops its leaves in November, but the fruit keeps ripening becoming sweetest in late December. I wonder if that is the same kind of tree in your last picture?

Twenty years ago I was looking to purchase a small tractor for our small farm/orchard. Somewhere I got information on an Italian one, an articulating Pasquali. However, there were no dealers in our area, so I finally bought a small Kubota. It has been a great tractor, but I have always thought the articulating design might be better.

While my wife and I love to travel and have considered full-timing, our gardens and orchard are a source of pleasure, stability, interest and good food that we can't leave behind.

Is the green tarp on the ground so that you shake the tree and catch the olives?

We were in Italy last September but in Tuscany and to the northern mountains.
