LadyHawk & the ole DesertHawk drove to Tucson with the Lance Monday, 24 Nov. in time to share a B'day dinner with our daughter. The slight breeze (of course, not one from behind us) dropped our mpg down considerably. 9.4 mpg.
She met us at the main gate of Davis-Monthan AFB to allow us to get visitor passes & to get us signed in at the FamCamp.
We will be staying at the Air Force's Agave Gulch FamCamp. A large one for sure with 198 sites plus a large overflow & very nice as well. Haven't checked out the shower/bathhouse yet. There are several of them.
Full hookups: $25 a night for us ($20 for military). They have WIFI, but isn't working well. Very friendly staff & helpful. Very clean CG.
We are in the older section with paved streets, the new has gravel streets & wider, roomier sites.

Very quit last two nights. Happened to be here for their coldest night so far this year (since a morning in January). The Lance kept us nice and warm. Used the
furnace to get the chill out at first (it's been a lot colder in Las Cruces), then used our small electric cube heater the rest of the time. Wasn't cold long enough to really have to worry about anything freezing. To be 75 for a high today, was 65 Tuesday & 80 for Thanksgiving.
Wishing all a Safe & Thankful & Happy Thanksgiving.
