another fun little trip for this week

tulip festival time in holland michigan.
if you have never been its beautiful to see. the streets are lined with tulips. people wearing dutch costume. 200 year old dutch windmills. huge tulip gardens. wooden shoe factory where you can watch them make you a pair of wooden shoes. wonderfull food and fun.

thursday morning we will pick up our two grand daughters, one preschool the other 9 Years old. she had to promise her teacher an extra credit report on holland , the people and what makes this area of michigan special, to get permision to miss two days of school.
we are going to camp a little ways north of holland at grand haven state park. right on lake michigan,, very pretty area.
so our second trip in the new scamp should be a good one. weather man is predicting three sunny wonderful days for us.

I work in downtown Holland. The tulips are pretty much done due to the warm weather we had last month, but there's still lots of fun to be had.

yes i figured the tulips will be past their prime. thats ok really its bout time with the girls for me and gramma. we have trips planned for the grand sons too.
haven't stayed at grandhaven. thought we would give it a look, or maybe suagatuck. i imagine none of them are filled up this week. and i know there's some great eating around there.

I'll be in Holland & Zealand the weekend of the 12 too bad we will miss all the blooms;(

thats ok,,,we will get to be at "stemfest 2012" they even have tee shirts for ten bucks...lol
if the lord gives you lemons,,,make lemonade.

was another great trip,,,though in truth,,2 grand daughtwers are well,,,stress full for pappa. but we delt. and we climbed sand dunes, and chased butterflies and had a great time

Yeah John, littles have a tendency to tire us older folks out! But look at the memories you made and the fun that you had. That's priceless.
