Any Boondocking organizations?

Does anyone know of any organizations or websites that organize and introduces boondockers with others willing to allow boondocking in their driveway or on their lot?

Backpacking has hostels, bicyclists have warmshowers.com, car travelers have couchsurfing.com. These organizations or websites put folks who are traveling together with like-minded folks who have temporary facilities to offer, such as a place to stay, shower, water, sometimes dinner.

Seems to me this should also be a natural to be copied for the RV community? Have I just not found it yet?

Try a search on any of these websites...irv2.com......RV.net.

I would not classify parking your RV in somebody's driveway as Boondocking.!

National Forests, BLM land, state forests, COE campgrounds etc offer boondocking locations.

For overnight stops try using any of the following (always check with local manager before getting comfortable...
Walmart, Kmart, Cracker Barrel, Cabelas , LL Bean etc. all have corporate policies in favor of overnight RV stays but sometimes local towns prohibit such activity. When using such locations do not put out awnings and set up lawn furniture...remember this is an overnight stop and not a campground !!!

To clarify - the web site name states it all: Boondockers are Welcome. it's not really saying this IS boondocking. Although the minimum requirement for hosts is to provide a parking spot, many of them actually offer electric and water - it's certainly not boondocking in that case. I guess we could have called the site, RVers Welcome! Doesn't quite have the same ring to it, though, does it?
