Bar Harbor, Me- KOA -Acadia NP

Arrived after a 12 hour drive during a Nor'easter storm. Site was right on the ocean with the wind blowing seaward. There was a fellow cooking lobster, corn and chowder in the campground and brought it to your site. Our first nights dinner. Next day the storm was gone and clear blue sky. The sunsets were wonderful. There was a pancake breakfast and the chef made a pancake look like the Escape. Last picture is my co-pilot-Hershey.

Great table setting. I have never had lobster. The kids always wanted to get some as "pets" from the grocery store. Lovely photos. The pancake is awesome too and so thoughtful of the chef to do that. Looks like a first rate experience there. Hershey looks well-behaved and seems to be enjoying the trip!

Mmmmm, lobster! 'Makes my mouth water for the times we camped in Maine (prior to the Scamp). You definitely had a memorable camping experience I'm drooling for. Although you can make a great lobster at home nothing beats a real lobster bake in Maine on the seashore, plastic bib around your neck, extracting the meat, dipping it in clarified butter and slurping your fingers all by the edge of the sea.

Where to go for Maine Lobsterbakes and everything else you want to know about lobster;

THat is a real nice looking place Alf. Maybe next time we make it to Maine.
The nice thing about this guy Clayton is you do not have to leave your camper. After driving all night, me and the dogs were tired, it was raining, and here is this guy set up 3 sites away with a steaming pot of food. Sort of nice eating lobster in your own camper, all snug and dry, knowing your bed was only 3 feet away, waiting for you. ZZZZZZZ
