Best Beaches to camp at/near?

Our love for Casitas started at Ft. Pickens. We were on our way to the fort when we spied the campground. As is our habit, we never miss a campground drive through. What a gorgeous place. I'm not big into sand with no shade, but this place had the shade, sand, unbelievable blue water and Casitas! I think it was just after Christmas 2012 and there was a Casita rally going on! What in the world! Seemed like 100's of them. We'd seem a few in MI, but this was amazing! Of course I made my husband talk to the first person we saw, probably someone from this site. We gained a lot of information that day and now own our own little casita! It was our first time in that part of FL. So much to see and do in that area. Next time the Air museum and camping!

Nancy - have you checked out the Blue Angel practice schedule on their website. Pensacola NAS is their home base and they practice there. You can watch them from the sea wall at the western tip of the island right there in the fort area. They also have big air shows in November and July. The July show is on the beach by the Pensacola Beach pier.
