Blue Angel Park - Perdido Bay, Florida

This is a Navy recreation park that is available to military and Department of Defense civilians, both active and retired. Located on Perdido Bay in Northwest Florida, it is a deactivated seaplane base that has been turned into a many-faceted recreation center. Within easy driving distance for Pensacola, stores, and restaurants. It's about a 30 minute drive from Interstate 10.
BAP

They have two different areas for camping, Battleship Row, and Anchor Cove. Battleship Row has full hook-ups, including sewer tap; concrete pads with 50 amp service; and large, open sites that are convenient for larger RVs. Anchor Cove is unpaved, 30 amp power, heavily shaded, and has a dump station. Anchor Cove is immediately on the water while Battleship Row is within easy walking distance of the beaches.

We always stay in Anchor Cove and try for a waterfront site, at $14.50 a night it's a real bargain and the location couldn't be better. Every site has water and electricity, a picnic table, and a fire ring. The bath house is very nice; it is air conditioned and every room is private and with a shower - four for women and four for men.

The park has rustic cabins and trailers for rent, sailboats for rent, boat launching ramp, miniature golf, an RV/boat storage facility, and an 18 hole disc golf course. They also have an area set aside for scouts, which can accommodate over 600 scouts at a time.

While we were there this weekend, a U-Haul pulled in next to us! We'd never even seen one before. It looked like our EggCamper had had a baby!

Blue Angel Park

Would a veteran of Vietnam be eligible to stay at this park? My husband just did his 4yrs but did not make the military his career, so he really didn't "retire" from the military.

active duty, reserves, cost guard, retired military and I believe some state and feberal workers like police fire fighters etc. however, if you have friends or family that are you can always be their guest. provided they are present when you sign in at the camp. during peak season it would be wise to make reservations. but right now iits slow and you can pick your own slot. for more details visit blue angel recreation on line for more information . best of luck.
