<OPDATE> The tickets for the Burning Man Festival sold out a couple of weeks ago, so are hard to come by if you don't already have one.

Red face Fernley, Nevada---been there recently!

Believe it or not, I spent a night in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Fernley, Nevada just 1 1/2 weeks ago!, waiting for a tire shop across the street to repair a brake pad I fractured coming down from a 10,000 foot pass getting out of Yosemite. Town seemed to be doing fine and there was a truck stop over across the way you could see was busy all night. I added to the economy there not only via Wal-Mart and Percell Tire but by taking my ill dog to the vet there (Dr. Moffitt has a heck of an ear for a stethoscope!).

I heard there that Burning Man was full. Frankly, after spending three extra nights in that hot hot dusty hot desert-y part of Nevada, I cannot comprehend why anyone would deliberately go there for VACATION! (Washingtonian with web feet speaking).

Photo: Seen in the Safeway parking lot in Lovelock, Nevada, not too far from Fernley. The fella wouldn't get off even seeing my dog & was obviously waiting for his owner to get out of the store!

Hey there! I know this is an older thread but we just picked up a 2012 Trillium 1300, and FINALLY, the wife has agreed for Burning Man in 2012!!! So stoked not only for the cool trailer, but so many places see and experiences to remember.

Hopefully we'll see some of you and other little trailers out there!

Best viewed with sound. The video really captures the spirit of Burning Man.

...I've always WANTED to GO!...

...I think I can, I THINK I CAN, I THINK I WILL!

Sounds like a perfect spot to have a little FG village of 13's and 16's. Michelle's camp spot at the Hot Springs also sounds WUNDERBAR. (Part of my upcoming March TRIP, will be stopping at all of the hotsprings along my way cross-country...can't wait to get my little '73 Compact II out and about this year, as I see America!)

Did I miss this year's DATE and THEME for the Burners to gather in Black Rock City? I'll put it on my 2012 Wishlist Calendar.

Inspiring stuff, always wanted to go soo… I just registered for the ticket raffle. It appears that they've changed the method of ticket sales and it's by raffle only. Sign up before Jan 22nd for much lower prices.

We finally got our tickets through STEP. So we're making plans. We removed the old AC from the roof (it leaked) and replaced it with a fantastic fan (more air and light). We will put a window AC in and bring a small generator. We hope to camp with either the same camp we were in in 2010 (Samba Stilt Circus) or join another camp. Anybody else get tickets?
