Crystal Cove State Park, Orange County, CA

If you are in Southern California, and want a dreamy spot to camp right on the ocean, check out Crystal Cove State Park. We took our new/old little Perris Pacer there for a trial run last weekend, and loved it!

Here's my post on the campground and our experience: Glamping in Crystal Cove State Park | Laguna Dirt

Nice photos and beautiful spot. How did I miss it a few weeks ago. I stopped in a commercial RV place at Huntington Beach Crystal Cove is about the same price but so much nicer. Oh well, next time

Janine,
Thanks for the write up and photos. We'll check it out for one of our local weekend jaunts.

Reservations do fill up fast! We reserved 2 days arriving April 28. Summer was all booked for the sites we checked. Looking forward to the trip!

We just returned home from our Crystal Cove jaunt. The park was squeaky clean and landscaped with California coastal native plants. We had a great time walking up and down the beach and just relaxing. The site number sixty we stayed in was in the south western corner and had a nice view of the southern beach. The camp host said our site was featured in this months Sunset magazine cover, so we'll have to check it out. There were plenty of available campsites during the weekdays.
