All entries on the list are by Escapees and are verified by Escapees who stop there.
Most of the entries, at least in the northeast are free places to stop for the night however there are also
boondocking spots. As well they list places that are simply low cost like the second one.
ME, KOKADJO: Spencer Bay CG, Moosehead Lake. ~40 BD sites, tables & fire rings. Pit toilet. No trash
service. Free. Posted 2-wk limit but CG host said 3-6 wks OK. Summer only. Good graded logging rds ~10 mi to
CG. From SR-6/SR-15 at Greenville, go N on Lily Bay Rd to Kokadjo. Pavement ends ~0.2 mi past Kokadjo at
N45 40.3427 W69 26.4034 & rd forks, take L fork onto gravel, go 1.2 mi to where rd forks again & there is a
Spencer Bay CG sign. Bear L, continue another 7.4 mi to another Spencer Bay CG sign. TL, road narrows here,
& go a full 1.4 mi (do not turn earlier) to N45 42.9291 W69 33.4555. Here the rd splits: Go straight 500' for 5
sites or L 0.4 mi for ~34 sites. Many sites OK for lg rigs. Easy canoe or kayak or boat launch both areas. Group

NY, WATKINS GLEN: Blueberry Patch CG (NF). 9 sites, grills. $10, S/A Pass 1/2. 14 day limit. Mid May-Oct 1.
Go 8.1 mi N on SR-414, TR on CR-2/Picnic Area Rd, go 3.9 mi to entrance on R. Gravel loop rd. Better for RVs
under 30'. Very peaceful & quiet, lots of trails, convenient for exploring the Finger Lakes. Becky Redford #105111
