Death Valley November 2005

There's a dry lake bed in Death Valley that is quite interesting. You have to drive on a 27 mile dirt road with those miserable washboard ruts in it the whole way. But, there is a reward when you get there....the strangest thing! It's called the Racetrack. There are rocks that move unassisted by anything other than Mother Nature. Gina - There has been a "Winter Warm-Up" in the past, but I don't know of one scheduled. We went over Veteran's Day for the 49er Days Encampment. Lots of cowboy music, parade and art show. It's funny how it never seems crowded no matter how many RV's are parked at the Sunset Campground.
