Have a wonderful trip! A few years ago we did the same trip in reverse.
I especially enjoyed the story about the Irish/Indian woman who lived at Letchworth (what a life!), and hiking Watkins Glen very early in the morning.
Have fun,
Marjie

For those who have never seen Letchworth, it well worth the drive! If you are in decent shape, walk some of the trails. Just beautiful.

Hi: All... Even with our "Lame duck" dollar we still enjoy NY. State Pk's. Haven't met one we didn't like. Love the Finger Lakes and wine tasting. The Cheese Trail is good too. Visited a goat farm and their old Chevre was nippy... superb!!!
Thanks you guys... now we gotta go back!!!

watkins glen state park

We just came back from our first time trip to Watkins Glen State park beautiful campground and the gorge was challenging and fun walking behind the waterfalls.(there are several in the area) We went (the men) for the nascar races and the ladies went to the wineries with some specatacular views of the lakes. Have a great time.

We were up that way last year. If you have time visit the Windmill The Windmill | Home near Penn Yan up the road toward town is an Amish market which is also worth visiting. Both are places to get rid of those Canadian Dollars.
