High Springs, Florida.

Not positive, but I think that was in the Ginnie Springs park. We visited at least a dozen springs as we floated down the Santa Fe.

Tomorrow we're floating Rainbow River in Dunellon. Supposed to be even prettier!

The water in that pic was over 6 feet deep.

Leaving Cedar Key this morning to paddle one more river on the way north.

Ichetucknee Springs was the prettiest paddle of all. Click image for larger version

...but the "family" campground right across from the SP is not one that We'll recommend. Served our purpose, though. One more scenic paddle, and the tubing vendor associated with the CG followed me to the takeout point to leave my shuttle for a reasonable rate.

Got up, hitched and left by 8am headed for home. Just cruising up 75 near Jasper and had our first (only, I hope!) equipment failure. The homemade aluminum brackets holding the homemade rockguard. When it came loose it hammered against the SUPs on the TV, and we both had a momentary fit thinking we lost the boards. ($2500 or so down the tubes)

Didn't take long for ol' Bamtech1 to apply a presidential solution, but I guess I need to move the rockguard up the list a notch or two.

Restaurant Recommendation!

We're now stopped at Lake City, GA, just inside the line. We wanted a sit-down breakfast, and were thinking maybe another Cracker Barrel, though we're always unimpressed. We had even pushed on into georgia because at least we could get Waffle House! As it happens, we saw a "eat where the locals eat" sign and stopped at The Farmhouse Restaurant. Local place, regular home-cooked food.

Very nice. Ruined a perfectly good appetite! Now I just have to stay awake the 4 hours home...

We made it home without further incident. Just five weeks in harness 'til we get to go back for turkey week!

One last picture to share, an amazing image of the milky way spewing out of a lit-up trillium:
