No grass, post office holds mail, read newspaper online, bills are all paid online!

CPAHarley,

Grass Cutting. we hire pay a neighbor to cut the grass if away in summer.
Mail. 30 day trips mail held by PO. Long trips PO forwards to Escapee Mail Service.
Newspapers. Don't get any. Read them on line when home or away.
Routine Bills. Paid on line via Bank of America once a month.

The electronics age makes all things possible.

First trip of season to Nfld Rally leaving May 15th and six weeks of Nfld exploration.

How does everyone handle grass cutting, mail, newspapers, or routine bills? Seems like anything over a week and I get behind!!
Grass cutting -- cut just before I leave and then not worry. No watering a couple weeks before leaving.
Mail -- If 30 days or less have them hold the mail. This can be done via USPS web site. Over 30 days I do a temporary forwarding to my daughter. I have her send what ever she's collected to the closest town to General Delivery. We get very little of any importance in the mail.
Newspaper -- Stop all newspapers. Or like us we don't get any.
Routine Bills -- All our bills are auto draw except for two which had be handles via the internet.

The only hitch is USPS which doesn't always forward everything. Two months on magazines, if they think it junk mail the dispose of it and return anything that looks like credit cards. This can all be handled with a small bit of fuss and bother.

Back to Champoeg this coming weekend with all my spinning, knitting and camping friends. Will be my second trip of the year(does it count if it is to the same place as the first trip?) but will be a shake down trip close to home for my friends. Looks like we may luck out with pretty weather too.

Well, I've tried, but I can't seem to leave the back yard. Great weather forecast for the next week, but when it comes to campsites, I can't think of one that is more private, convenient and cheaper than this.
Only catch is I have to mow the lawn.

I admit, we spent a couple of hours sitting in the Scamp in the backyard, just to remember what it felt like.
