A friend who lives in Montana sent an article from the Great Falls Tribune indicating that Going-to-the-Sun Road would not open until July 1st this year due to construction. The damage caused by storms last November is being repaired, and the construction will continue all summer.

I wish the same thing would happen to the road to Cades Cove in the Smokies.

I didn't think they allowed trailers of any sort over the GTTS road.

We were just there last September and the road was already closed.

They don't allow any trailers (I believe over a certain footage but can't remember) because they have a drop place for trailers.

I am sure that National Park website will have that information.

I visited Glacier years ago with my grandma. I have a terrible fear of heights, and I think I cried all the way up that road!! I'd have been okay driving my own car, and in control, but it scared the heck out of me riding with someone else. (Not grandma- that would have scared me even more!!)
