This was taken July '05 just after I returned from my stint in SW Asia. Had to take a road trip to relax (and shake down the El Camino). Redwoods just south of Crescent City on 101. (reststop for the wench--hmm could have shown her just coming out of the little blue house---but prob safer not to ) Larry

Hi All,

We went to Big Meadow Campground Aug 15-19. It's located off of Hwy 4 near Bear Valley

California. Pretty nice and the sites are not right on top of each other with plenty of shade.

Lots of hiking for side trips and Lake Alpine is close for fishing. No Showers and No Flush toilets.

Cost is 17 per night.

I have more pic's if interested

Idyllwild state park in the winter. its a nice quiet place to go in SoCal in the winter time to get that Xmas feeling. nice hikes and great views. the park itself has some logging history.

Hey, Phil! Our first night in our first Casita was at Choke Canyon SP. Boy was it an eye-opener (the trailer, not the park)!

Thanks for posting! (Me thinks the webguy is going to be busy changing home page photos for a few weeks!)
