Keaton Beach Camping report
Last week I stayed at Keaton Beach’s Old Pavalion RV Park in Florida. This is in the “Big Bend” on the gulf and is very much “The Old Florida”. The park is small and you are either on the Gulf of Mexico, or a canal that flows into the gulf Park owner is great and will help with anything you need. The bathhouse and restrooms were very clean. Shelia the cat went with me and it was a good thing. I went one whole day without hearing a human voice. There is no fast food, no stores except a gas/grocery store (well stocked), but if you want the natural beauty, this is the place to visit. I went scalloping one morning, came back and shucked them and cooked them that night for supper. The water is very clear and great for snorkeling. I went kayaking every day, soaked in the sun, and had a relaxing great time. I only had one small problem. Shelia did not want to leave to come home. The cat has good taste. Had to drag her out from under camper next door and deposit her in the truck.
