Large fire in Glacier National Park

For those of you planning on a trip to Glacier National Park let it be known there is a large fire on the east side of Glacier near St. Mary's Lake and apparently right next to the Going to the Sun Road. All campgrounds have apparently been shutdown and evacuated on this side including St Mary's and Rising Sun, as well as the lodge there. From what I can determine even the St Mary's visitor center has closed. All this assumes no false reporting.

For those still planning to come it will obviously put more campers into the other campgrounds on the east side such as Swiftcurrent and Two Medicine and maybe the campgrounds on the west side as well.

Thought I would post a link to the latest info regarding this fire given that MT was hit with heavy rain and very cool temps yesterday. It was a drenching here in the SW part of the state and would have thought the rain would have all but put out the fires in Glacier, apparently not. But it is getting better.
