michigan campsite for a overnighter

say you want to just get away someplace nice for the weekend,,,someplace you can get to and from easy. that has nice scenery. and not overly packed with noisey people....is that what you want bunky?
well , pack your camper and head on over to "algonac" state park.
you can camp right acrossed the road from the st.clare river and watch the frieghters go by. plenty to do if you want to. fishing , biking, hiking, exploring the small towns nearby.
i highly recomend this one to all.

How full does it get in summertime there? Packed on weekends?

It would be a good place to stay while visiting relatives (in Mt. Clemens and Ray Center).

I checked the DNR website. The sites look pretty close together.

not huge sites, but enough space, like any park , can get filled on weekends, making reservations on line helps.
i would guess big weekends are packed, 4th of july and such
