Milwaukee State Fair Campground
(Click to Embiggen)
What can I say but "It ain't Yellowstone!" What it is is close to Milwaukee and not too expensive. I believe it was around $35 for the night with electricity, water, and a dump connector. What you get is a slot in acres and acres of pavement. The central showers & toilets were nice and clean. And, in spite of what some on line reports have said, the folks up front were exceedingly friendly. We were in town for a 70th birthday bash, and it worked out swimingly.
We were the tiniest RV on the lot, let me tell you! I felt like a gnat next to some of those rigs. The next "smallest" trailer was a pretty good sized classic Airstream.
Oh... and one more thing to fix popped up. When I got up in the morning I noticed that it was wet under the trailer. At first I thought it was drips from the AC, but it was WAY too much. Sticking my head underneath I could see it was coming from INSIDE the unit. *sigh*. A cursory exam showed a leak existed somewhere between the water storage and the the outside world. One thing... the water pressure was WAY high. It may have been that. When I get back from a business trip to Florida it'll be find-the-leak time. Gee... this is just like owning an old house!

One should always use a 40-50 psi water pressure regulator for that reason. Cool looking trailer...

If you have an electric fridge, that might be the issue. Ours went out on our trip and defrosted all over the floor.

No... it's a an issue with the piping. I could see water on the T joint under the stove area.

Good news... turns out the leak was coming from where two hoses had been connected with a double-barb connector. The band thingies that you tighten with a screw had loosed up. I took the joint apart, reseated everything, tightened up the bands... and all is well! Just to be safe, though, I picked up a water pressure regulator at WalMart. It was under 10 bucks...and it sure is a pretty piece of brass!

My brass one started to corrode after 2 years and I had to replace it with the stainless steel model. Glad though your problem is fixed.

I'm guessing she means the water pipe joint under the stove?

Ah... I suppose so. No... didn't get hot. It was just a poorly-tightened hose clamp.
