This is the OLD Reserve America website....
------------
Dear Valued NRRS Customer,
The National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) is expanding.
The NRRS™ , your one-stop reservation service for the USDA Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation outdoor recreation facilities and activities, is expanding as the National Park Service is integrating additional parks. The addition of these National Parks and their reservable facilities and activities will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2007.
Our current website,
www.Reserveusa.com will be replaced with our new site
www.Recreation.gov for reservation and recreation information for Federal lands on February 7, 2007.
As part of this change, all customers with current member accounts on ReserveUSA.com will need to create a new member account on www. recreation.gov - this is for protection of your privacy and security. Your new reservations account will only reflect new reservations you make on our website. Active reservations you have made prior to the move, are still on our system, and can be changed only through our reservation call centre. This also includes customers who have made reservations through
www.reserveramerica.com. Upon visiting
www.Recreation.gov create a new membership, by simply signing up with your information and start your reservation or search for your favorite outdoor recreation facilities and activities.
In addition to providing reservation services for agencies participating in the NRRS,
www.Recreation.gov will also become an enhanced recreation portal and provide trip planning information for many other Federal recreation facilities and activities. Key enhancements and benefits include improved reservation availability searches; the addition of shopping cart functionality (multiple reservations with one payment) and improved regional and campground level maps. This change is part of the Recreation-One-Stop initiative. Reservations can be made on the new website beginning at 10:00a.m. EST on February 7. (The current NRRS website,
www.ReserveUSA.com will automatically redirect to the new
www.Recreation.gov website). In addition, effective February 7, reservations for the new facilities will be available through the NRRS Call Center at 1-877-444-6777 beginning at 10:00 a.m. EST.
You can expect some temporary “growing pains” and scheduled interruptions for reservation services during the transition period for the new facilities joining the NRRS and for some participating agencies. The National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation facilities will experience a “reservation blackout” period beginning Wednesday, January 24 and continuing through Tuesday, February 6, 2007.
Please be advised that if you have an existing reservation for one of the effected facilities you will no longer be able to see it on our websites after Wednesday, January 24. To make changes to an existing reservation please contact the NRRS Call Center at 1-888-448-1474
