Here's pictures of our first outing just down the road from our house. The campground was full but we found a light post with an electrical plug right next to a low shade tree. We had no need to get the awning out and we just fit beneath it's lowest branches.

Oops, my pictures aren't uploading. I'll try again.

Okay finally figured out how to get the photos sized correctly.

We went on our first "scamping" trip a few weeks ago just down the road from our home in Stromsburg Nebraska. The campground in that town is beautiful, groves of weeping willows, a meandering stream and the local public swimming pool just across the park playground. We didn't want our first trip out to be too far until we had all the kinks worked out of our new camper. The trip was a success minus the terrible mosquitos. Couldn't find an open spot in the tiny campground but was able to pull into the grassy island under a nice shade tree and hook into a lamp post. We definitely couldn't have done that with our other camper. The newborn orphaned kittens came along and was a nice ice breaker with the other campers.

Gina, are you sure? They are so CUTE!! I guess that's the selling point until they become adults and not as cuddly anymore. Actually, I've found homes for most of them already. My daughters want to keep one themselves and it's tempting because the one they want is very gentle, very people friendly and you can practically carry her around by her tail, and of course, she's so CUTE!

Anyways, segue back to my camper, isn't she so cute, too? The non-furry sort.
