New Years at Battlefield Resort!

We just finished breakfast and are sitting around the fire in Gettysburg, PA at Battlefield RV Resort. It is pretty quiet up here... A lot of big rigs in winter storage. The cabins are occupied. Boy, does the Scamp look small!

Funny you should ask... I got them here at the campground store. They are Camco RV brand "Retro Trailers". Aren't they cute?

Hi McBrew! Isn't Gettysburg awesome? We felt we could spend a couple of weeks touring all the monuments via bicycle and still not see everything. If you have a chance, take the tour of the Eisenhower farm - pretty interesting insights into the civilian side of Ike and Mamie's lives.

Thanx for posting. Safe journeys - L 'n D

How is the weather up there...Its a great area with so much history.....I'm going to do that region next fall.....I know what you mean about looking small against one of those 45 ft RV's....but I wouldn't trade my Casita in for 100 of those...Ms Casita gets me to places those bigs can only dream about getting to....enjoy and Happy New Year...Horst...on the road in Texas

The weather changed while we were up there... And so did many other things. It went down to around 20F at night, but went up to about 45F on new years day. We were on our way back to my in-laws' house when we got the news that my 34 year old brother-in-law had passed away at their house over night. It turned into an emotional and long week. It is amazing how fast things can turn upside down.

I wish to express, however feebly, my sorrow for your loss.
Please know that you have someone "out there" wishing you and yours healing and peace.

I'm sorry for your loss. And you are so right, things can change in the blink of an eye.
