Seafood heaven. Lobster and mussels Saturday night. Sunday fish cakes for lunch. Sunday night scallops followed by a smoke salmon pasta.

Hi Jim. I haven't been posting much however our son has under his name Norm Milliard. He posts on Facebook and I've been sharing his posts. This has been by far the coldest year, with the fewest icebergs in 4 years. Regardless we've had a good time.

This has been by far the coldest spring and almost summer in Newfoundland, both cold and windy. So far it's a 3 layer day and I'm sitting in. My Scamp. Last night the Scamp's rock shield blew off around midnight. It was 34F this morning with a strong wind in our Campground on Fogo Island.

Snow is still happening and we're about a week from summer. This is the iceberg ground near the beach in Fogo's only Campground. . Click image for larger version

Today we climbed Brimstonehead, a former volcano core. Our Campground is at the foot of the 'head' located on a small bay. You may need to blow up the picture to see our little Scamp. Click image for larger version

ahhh, Norm, this photo brings back such wonderful memories. The Brimstone and its wonderful views was a daily walk for us the week we were there. We camped in the lower section by the beach. Susan recently calculated that we spent more consecutive days there than in any other campground!

best to you and Ginny. Keep warm!!

Today the morning was cold but the skies cleared and the sun blasted through, the day was warm for a change. We got three hikes in today and of course the head was one. We spotted a whale from the top of the head.

Of course we've done most of the hikes here but they are all new to the kids. Saturday night there's a dance in Tilting at the church hall. Yikes it starts at 11PM, definitely too late for Ginny and I but the kids may give it a try.

Saturday morning we're going on a tour of the Fogo Inn.

The Caribou Kids, the students studying the Caribou this spring, actually run down newborn Caribou, no more than 2 days old and tag them. Unlike Moose the Caribou mothers stand off. Once the baby Caribou are more than a couple days old they are too fast to catch.

Of course even when cold Newfoundland is great. Nicole's Restaurant has been replaced by the Scoff, apparently another good place to eat.

Nice to hear from you, still loving NL. Every RVer here for the first time is crazy about the place and people.

I was thinking of you, Norm and Ginny, yesterday. We flew from Prague to New York and for a few moments were able to see some patchy, though extensive snow cover in Labrador. There was snow also covering the higher ground on the Gaspe peninsula. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Newfoundland, and icebergs, but it was totally overcast, with only those two exceptions. One of these years we'll return to NL with our Scamp.
Enjoy your journey and thanks for posting your pictures.

Paul, it's been fun taking the kids around Newfoundland. Yesterday three hikes, more today with brilliant sun this morning.

Sometimes it's the very simplest things that make me happy. Today it's the day's starter. Here it's bread, multi grain for me, a traditional 3 humper. Click image for larger version

Glad to hear your enjoying showing the "kids" around NFLD. Couple of photos from last years trip. We too took the tour of the inn. That's our rig parked behind the transportation for the inn.

So good to hear that you are back and enjoying yourselves, as usual. Take care and give a tip of the hat to Gander if you go by.
Today I will be exploring in and around Whitehorse and will likely hit Skagway this weekend. SD.

Dave, we spent a couple of days in the Gander area and took in the Air Museum and of course Rosa's.

Enjoy your western adventure.
