Wonderful spot, but reservations are made way out. We got lucky, showed up and had the kids look hungry and tired so the rangers felt sorry for us and got us cancellations for two nites, but we had to change sites.
First nite was a fabulous site on the cliff overlooking the ocean: (Site 149)
The stairs down the cliff to the beach were at the back left of our site:
Second nite was site 37 which was nice but not as incredible as the first one:
Most all of these are "dry sites" and definitely would go with 146-149 before I went with any of the hookup sites.
Price was $25 a nite and they do seem to count the trailer as a vehicle so you get the extra $10 a nite for total of $35. Didn't Gina start them doing that to cut down traffic at her favorite CA parks?
First time we'd used the Scamper "boondocking" and all the water and
propane systems worked without any issues.
