I live in the Manning area of S.C. We camp in the state parks in upper
S.C. and the national parks in western N.C.

We've camped some mid=state:

Lake Strom Thurmond - Hamilton Branch State Park - sites right at water's edge, large wooded sites. Nice Army Corp campground at Modoc, though we haven't stayed yet.

Lake Murray - Dreher Island - lake sites

Cheraw State Park - again right on the lake

We tend to like to go where we can have at least a water view, though water front is better....makes it easy to slide the kayaks in the water for a sunset paddle.

In the upstate there are several campgrounds on Lake Hartwell with lake front sites, both Army Corps and State owned.

Ya never know when we might sneak up onya....

If your "beach people" you might be interested in Myrtle Beach's best kept secret, Myrtle Beach State Park. Slightly remote from the city but stiil close, great beach and pier, also pet friendly.

Howdy from Winnsboro,

I'm trying to buy a fiberglass trailer but they're really hard to find in this area that are affordable. If you folks run across a sell, please give me a shout. I've been looking for about a year.

Thanks

Cary

I should have stated that I'm most interested in a 16' er with shower heat and air but I'm open to others. Not a great handyman but can do simple projects.

I've camped at Huntington Beach State Park a couple times, as well as Lake Wateree. I'm going to Dreher Island for the first time next week!

On my last visit to HBSP, there was another Casita and a Scamp camping there, but you're correct that fiberglass trailers are a small fraction of the RVs in this region.
