This is a great place to beat the frostbite blues. Cinnamon Bay campground is clean and well run. If you reserve well in advance you can bring your own tent and stay for $27 a night.

All the baresites had been reserved, so we stayed in a tent provided site for $80 a night. It is absolutely the worst tent you will ever love. We brought a cheapie screen house with us just in case the bugs were bad. They weren't, but it was still nice to have. It kept the wild donkeys out of our food.

The donkeys were nothing but adorable the whole time we were there. But rumour has it they kick and bite and steal all your food. We didn't feed them, but couldn't resist the occasional pat on the head.

My wife and I went there for our honeymoon 21 years ago. We keep hoping to be able to go back, but I don't know when that will happen. It's a lovely place, for sure.

Were there any hookup sites? Say, are you sure that was a donkey? Looked like a Burro to me.
