The Acorn in Door County, WI

We just returned from a trip to Peninsula State Park in Door County, WI. The park is amazing . . . Green Bay is lovely, the leaves and weather were perfect. Lots to do including hiking, biking, fishing. The campgrounds are beautiful and the nearby towns are delightful. We saw a Trillium, a 13' Scamp, and a vintage "canned ham" . . . and did I mention the Door County Cherry Pie?

Glad you had a nice time. I'd like to get back to Peninsula SP sometime. I went there a few years ago, rented a bike just outside the entrance, and pedaled all over the park (about 12-13 miles, whew!!). It was a very pleasant place.

That area is not too far from Fayette Historic State Park (in Michigan). Fayette Historic State Park Detail

That is a truly beautiful location with the limestone cliffs and the old steel smelting ghost town.
