Going to be attending a wedding at the Lesner Inn in Virginia Beach in late July. Anyone from the area, or familiar with the area know of a campground close by? Thanks. Dwain

First Landing State Park in Va Beach... nice, water & electric, bay front campground...

Holiday Trav-L-Park in Va Beach... This one is a few miles from the ocean, but it's big, has FHU sites, and plenty of activities...

KOA... Across the street from campground above, not as big, not as nice...

Outdoor Resorts, Va Beach... It's waterfront on Back Bay, only a short walk to the beach, located in the Sandbridge section of the city (this place is a bit out of the way)

North Landing Beach, Va Beach.... This place is also out of the way, and not too many people know about it. I've never been here so have no further input...

I have obtained these from other site posting. I stayed at Holiday Trav and enjoyed it. Enjoy your trip

First landing is a nice park but you need to make resevations a long time ago for this summer. Places near the beach fill up fast.Chesapeake Campground 693 George Washington Hwy S Chesapeake, VA 23323
(757) 485-0149
Is not a super great place but is not the pits either from what i have seen driveing by. it is out of the way so it looks like it allways has opening. If you like to Canoe it has ascess to the Great Dismal Swamp
dont be tempted to head north to hampton or newport news the Hampton Roads bridge tunnel traffic can be a real Pain in the backside in the summer.
Good hunting
