Daroga State Park, Lake Entiat, Orando WA near Wenatchee
beautiful lake, fishing, boating, scenery, sunny (albeit windy), store, gas, Wenatchee only 24 miles away for anything big.

Long Key State Park in the Florida Keys just this side of Marathon.

This is the view south across the Straits. Behind the camera a couple of hundred yards is Florida Bay.

Wow... those were the days.

Gee, I shouldn't share, it's already too popular - but ok.... One of our favourite lakefront camping spots is Haynes Point Provincial Park in Osoyoos, BC. It's just about a mile from the US/Canada border. I think Oroville, Washington is the US side. It's so popular you need reservations in July and August, and can only stay 1 week. It's a neat 'spit' that goes out into Osoyoos Lake. Most sites have their own beach with lots of trees and interesting bird life. Although the area is desert, it's a real oasis.
Also another small, out of the way nice one on the ocean is Fillongley Provincial Park on Denman Island, BC (a small island off Vancouver Island near Courtenay).
These are just a couple, we are searching too!
