I am headed up to Breezy Point next weekend and it looks like all the campgrounds closed this weekend. Does anyone know where I can camp next weekend???

Any Wal-Mart parking lot (city ordinance permitting).

For better or worse, there are no KOA's near Brainerd, MN.

I've stayed at http://www.highviewcampground.com a couple times; however it was the middle of summer. Call ahead; I'd be a bit surprised if they were not open until the end of October.

The other good option this time of year are state park campgrounds. Most are open until the snow flies, and some even all winter. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/index.html

All those places are closed for the season. I bit the bullet and will be paying close to $100 a night at Breezy Point. Walmart might work but its cold this time of year. I slept out in the camper this weekend just to see and yes, it could be done, but burrrrr, it was cold. It will be in the 40's and rain so the forcast is for the weekend, and there is no heat at Wally world either.
Thanks for the information. Wish there was something near by Breezy point. If they were forcasting warmer weather I would have parked in the parking lot and hoped not to be kicked out.
Looks like camping is over for this year.
