Where to boondock/dispersed camping near Savannah GA?

Can anyone recommend some boondocking/dispersed RV camping in/near Savannah GA?

We are thinking of going there for a week in April (spring break).
There aRe some state parks down there- but more rustic, private, on the water, cheaper places to camp with our 16' Scamp would be great.

When we want to visit Savannah, we camp at Rivers End on Tybee Island. It's a short walk to the beach. It's a city owned campground, sites very close to each other, most have at least water & electric, wifi, cable tv. It's on a side street, and some of the sites are right on the street. Bathrooms are in a couple prefab units, each room separate with a toilet, sink, and shower. Probably not what you're looking for, but it's close to the beach, and 10 miles or so into Savannah.

Thx for the info. A close walk to the beach sounds great. Of course I would like to find a private and cheap/free site right on the beach, and with a shade tree to cover the Scamp. No, make that 2 trees for ease of putting up my new camping hammock.
