For those of you contemplating a
fall visit to Yellowstone via the Cody to Fishing Bridge East Entrance, you no longer have to fear being beaten apart by the road through the construction zone. Paving is nearly completed and the entire trip can be made on a smooth hard surface. You might experience a few delays while the final surface in being put down in a few spots, but these are minor compared to the last few summers.
The park is beautiful at this time of year. Large mammals are moving down and becoming more visible. The aspens and cottonwoods are turning yellow. The smaller campgrounds in the park are still filling on the weekends and some are starting their
fall closures (the large Bridge Bay Campground on the west shore of Lake Yellowstone closed this weekend), so some planning is called for.
