"This park is very nice, right beside the Chesapeake Bay. It's a wonder full park with most of the sites having electricity. One neat factor is that MD offers a senior pass to all holders of a federal senior pass for a one time charge of $10. The camping fee here with electricity for tonight is $14 plus tax. The pass is good at all MD parks.
There are 3 Scamps in the park tonight, almost a rally. I'll add the park to our list of campgrounds"
Not far from Janes Island SP is Shad Landing at Pocomoke State Park. Also open all year round, it has the same $$ schedule (use the MD senior pass there too!) and similar facilities, but on the Pocomoke River. There's a state operated marina there also. It's on US Rt. 113. Rt. 113 is the less traveled alternate route to a busy portion of US Rt. 13 in Maryland and Delaware. It is 1 mile longer than Rt. 13, and all 4-laned except for 9 miles in a rural area of Maryland, but so many Less stoplights than Rt. 13. I've been traveling up and down the Delmarva many times a year for about 11 yrs now, and a few yrs. ago a friend told me about using 113 instead of 13. I tried it once and have never been back to 13 unless my wife wants something at Chick's Equine Store in Harrington, DE--then I have to go the 13 route.
For Pocomoke SP, Use the same link that Norm posted.
