My advice, whatever you choose, if you have electric hook ups, save money on propane
by using an electric heater. I just can't see spending all that money on propane
when you can buy and electric heater for $25.
We seek electric hookups in cold weather. We got a small electric heater for $10 at Walmart. However the only thing we use when sleeping is a twin sized electric blanket.
We find if there is no pressure on the pipes when they freeze there is enough expansion room to handle the freeze without breaking.
Like you we absolutely avoid extended periods of freezing though it happens.
