Lesa, we live less than 1 mile from the Lost Dutchman State Park, and have hosted several FGRV members over the last couple of years, and now have new friends.
PM us if you would like the nickel tour.

I hope to make it to Quartzite for the rally in February, then down to imperial valley LTVA but a cousin in New York City is getting married in January so my plans are just a maybe as of now. If you get to the Quartzite rally you'll probably have around 100 other fiberglass trailers to visit.

The quartzite rally is open to all - I was there last year with my Escape, parked next to a Scamp 19...

Check out the Imperial Dam BLM area - quite an experience!

I'm pretty sure it started years ago on the Casita forum but it's open to everyone. There will be all brands there. It is listed on this forum under rallies for Feb.6-8 . If you get to Dome Rock a week early, you wont be the first one to arrive. I went last year and had great time. It was my first rally. I did not go to the "Slabs" last year but next time down that way, I'll probably go. Several people advised against a stop at the Slabs but I'll probably go anyway. Some safety concerns were mentioned.

Help out a newbie

I know what LTVAs are. But what are RTR and GTGs? We are in New Mexico now with a short hop to Little House Customs planned. It seems that it will be warm enough to stay in New Mexico through November. Then I guess we will head towards Arizona. Hope to make the Dome Rock Rally in February.

Thanks for all the info and tips.

I went to the Slabs a few times last year it is not as unsafe as you think. I will return. It's who's around that can make a difference.
I'm traveling in NM State Parks now. .after dr okays me and a couple repairs I will be AZ bound again

There is also the Arizona Round Up Meet at Buckskin Mountain Dec 4-7. Open to all vintage trailers, tear drops and all fiberglass trailers. Bring your Christmas lights. I attend this meet a couple of years ago and they are a very welcoming group. They hold other rallies over the course of the year as well.
